I discovered a very handy service today via Thrilllist. It’s called DropCard and it provides a better method for sharing you contact info with someone you just met.
For decades we’ve relied on the ubuiquitous business card to provide our essential contact details but often the cards are lost or we forget to have one on us at all times. Enter DropCard.
DropCard is dead simple and an ingenious idea. Here is how it works.
1. Create a profile at MyDropCard.com with your contact information.
2. When you meet someone new you simply text their email to 41411 and they will receive all your information in an email.
Example: “drop johndoe@email.com”
The service support a business profile and a personal profile and they have some handy shortcuts to make texting even easier. The basic profiles are free and they offer a premium service for $3.99 per month.
